borg warner cps

so i tried the international cps part #1876736C91 for about a month.
i was using the ford recall cps previously

idle was improved, gained about a mpg, took longer to start than with the ford recall cps, and power seemed down.

just switched to the borg warner cps from oreily's and i am stoked.
the international cps will be my extra extra extra cps now. starting a collection.

i know they have had issues with trucks stalling when you use your windshield wipers, so i have tested it multiple times and havent had an issue.

now for the good stuff, starts better, power is up, throttle is much more responsive and the truck idles great!

have yet to run a full tank so ill post back on results.

Just went through a similar experience every I tried the Standard Motor Products brand CPS which is still a clone of the original large magnet black CPS. So far I'm impressed with the same results as you.

Wait a min... Just because the BW CPS is made with Black plastic, that doesn't mean it's anything like the original Ford Black CPS (with it's, occasional, wipermotor conflict)

yes its black. it could be pink for all i care

just because it looks the same does not mean it is the same.

well seeing as the #8 fails a cct whether not im using the ford recall cps, the IH cps,and possibly the bw cps i dont see how it would matter.

oh and i paid 33 bucks from oreily's.

If its a replica of the old black CPS, it actually has a larger stronger magnet that reads better without having to shim it just right like the newer ones have problems with.

Yea, that's what I saying because of your reference to wiper problems that you apparently associated with Black Plastic

oh i just meant id read about the bw cps having wiper issues. the color which is irrelevant. i didnt know it was black until i bought it the other day. so color wasnt a seller.

i have washed the truck with the wipers on full blast and it never had a hiccup.

just thought id let everyone know MY good luck. everyone might not have the same results but i am happy with the outcome.

The BW had wiper interference too? I never heard that.....

Even the Ford CPS from 20yrs ago wasn't all that prone to it (I still have the original one in my '02 and never had a problem). It must have been an issue with a certain motor or it degraded in a certain way, something like that
