Early 99s to 99.5-03
Ok i'm thinkin of getting a banks big head wastegate off a buddy. Now my problem is that his was an early 99 and my truck is a 2000.
My question is, does anyone know if a wastegate from an early 99 will work on a 00? |

It will work. You may have to drill the hole in the rod larger to fit at the worst.

ok but is the mounting and sping inside the wastegate the same or does it have a different spring tension.

Exactly correct. I had to drill out an early 99 turbo. Pretty painless.

is there any "noticeable" difference from a stocker to one of these? Im sure it builds boost a little better, but would one feel it in the pants at all?

how much boost are you building now? on a stock truck i dont think it would make much difference. it does pretty much the same thing as disconnecting the redline just does it alittle better, the computer still has sonme control over it.

The big head made a bigger difference on my truck than just unplugging the wastegate hose. Just make sure to adjust it properly.
