Boost VS Manifold Pressure

So my boost gauge (hyperpac) will read 17lbs at the most and will defuel. But at the same time it will read 25 lbs of manifold pressure. I am about to order a manual boost gauge and a pyro but i just wanna see if this makes any sence.

i think it is tunning 25psi boost.

early 99 f-350 7.3 6speed crew cab
banks exhaust, chip, big head, exhaust houseing
and wheel
Ford AIS intake
5.5" fabtech lift w/ 35x12.50/18's

Boost should be the same as MAP unless ya got a boost fooler, If ya really want to know put a 'real" boost guage on it instead of electronic garbage.

7.3, Auto., 4x4, 6637, Straight Piped Stock Exhaust, WW, Foilgone.

Yeah thats why im getting the manual boost gauge. I like the electronic for everything else. Correction im ready 29.8 lbs of manifold pressure at wot.
