hood insulation

What is the purpose of the hood insulation delete???? any draw backs from doing this? Thanks for your replies!

I did the foil delete but don't believe I would remove hood insulation b/c it helps to keep the engine heat off the hood and would protect the hood if the Serpentine belt was to break IMO

yea, ive never heard of anyone taking off the hood insulation. Might be confused with the foil delete mod, if you consider that a mod I guess

i took my hood insulation off because it was all tore up from when my truck slung a belt gunna make a diamond plate cover instead

Mine IS a bit louder outside without it than my buddy's....

Only(significant) difference, his has the insulation, mine doesnt...

Yeah there is a little difference I can definitely hear the turbo a little more
