AFE HD Momentum intake!!

so the adds about this new intake caught my eye and so i must ask the question....Is this the best intake to have?

it states (just like most of them) that is is tested and proven to give you an added 20HP and 57lbs ft torque and up to 42% more air flow...

I am pretty partial to my 6637 intake with a douglas filter but this new intake uses a filter that 1,000CFM!!!

what is everyones thoughts and opinions on this?

anybody have this setup yet?

Where did you specifically see this advertised? Google is littered with all kinds of info for other vehicles.

I honestly think it's as good as it gets with the 6637. It flows more than what the engine could ever want. Numbers advertised are generally skewed for performance advertisement. They will generally not match real-world numbers for YOUR truck as the trucks they are tested on are different than yours and mine and with the prices I'm seeing online... I'll say stick with the 6637.

I see you're getting your numbers from this advertisement for the 6.7: http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p...werstroke.aspx

Perosnally i love my 6637 mod! Did mine for less than $60 with the douglass filter. and i dont/cant see.spending $200+ on an intake that might do an insignificantly noticeable gain...makes all name brand intakes look like a waste unless you just have to have that look of a amanufactured intake

Yeah I don't see one for the 7.3. I'm not impressed with what I've seen/read either way.

the 6637 is rated for 650 cfm in its original function. which is in an enclosed box for a big truck. seeing as its not enclosed it is going to flow more than 650 cfm.
