help with brake controller
I got a few questions heres the situation
I just got an '02 f250 and it had no owners manual and im wiring up a brake controller. Now I have the brake controller wired up and plugged in under the dash. But when I hook up the trailer it displays n/c (no connection) On my 99 it had the brake controller kit with it that has the harness for under the dash and the 2 relays and 2 maxi fuses that go in the power distribution box under the hood. But I cant find any power distribution box under the hood and I have no owners manual. On the 99 the power distribution box is next to the master cylinder, and the one under the dash is smaller. Is it just all one box under the dash on the 02? |

That could be your problem. I never recommend splicing in controllers this way. The Plug for your truck can be bought for $10 and then you know you have good connections. I would take a test light to the rear plug and see where and where you aren't getting power. Is the trailer plug really corroded? Maybe some dielectric grease would be in order? NCH |
