torque converter cover stuck help fast

drained my tranny and cant get to my tc drain bolt any help on how to get the dust cover off........help

no, there is I think 3 more bolts on the outside of the cover plate on the backside of the engine. plus the 2 under the bottom.

there is a bolt above the starter...its much easier to get that bolt out if you pull the starter out.

well i guess that when i did it i was working on a jacked up truck in Iraq and it only had a two bolt mount so it was positioned weird...huh i wonder why i had to replace the flexplate due to its bald ring gear.

If you are using the self flushing method you really don't need to drain the TC, it will just get pumped out during the flush. If you are just doing a dump and fill it is a good idea. Be glad you have that plug, later models don't. Just thought I would add this in case somebody was wondering why you would drain the TC.
