U joints
I have a U joint squeaking. I replaced the rear U joint about 15 K miles ago. What would be the next most likely U joint to go out. It is easy to check the rear one but the rest take a little work to pull out and see if they are stiff or gone. The drive shaft won't wiggle any at any of the U joints. Pryed on them pretty good. 2001 with a 127 K miles on the truck.

Check your carrier bearing.
I have 178K on my stock U joints with a lot of abuse on the truck. |
