Is it a E4OD Or 4R100

How can I tell what trans I have in my truck. Its a 2000 psd (late '99) Are there certain #s on the case that will tell me.

99 and newer = 4r100

I think the 4R100 was put in the super duty's.

so the E40d is not a possibility? 2000's only had the 4r100s?

Yeaup, only one automatic transmissions in 99-03 7.3's. The 4R100

pre-99 powerstrokes had the E4OD

And the 03-07 6.0's have the 5R110, otherwise known as the Torqshift

and the 08's also have the 5R110(Torqshift)

Already answered, but supporting the 4R100 in the Super Duties.
