6.0 tranny cooler upgrade

what is all involved in upgrading to a 6.0 tranny cooler? or is it easier to just add an aftermarket?

For what it's worth - I'm getting the full kit from BulletProof Diesel out of Phoenix.
It's a fairly straight forward swap and there's plenty of threads on here if you use the forum search feature.

Heck on my recent road trip the tranny temps were awesome! They never bounced around at all. Unless you just reeley want to upgrade, or you got issues, you might wanna think about leaving things as are. Pretty good set up from the company.

yea, I only tow about 8000lbs right now and it's ok, but I may be going up in weight a bit, and possibly for longer hauls down the road for trips, so I know I'll want to upgrade.
But I think I'm right at the sweet spot for mine

Here is what I used. It went pretty smooth and is a clean install. Pulled my 7000-8000 lb travel trailer through the hills of MO and never got over 150 degrees according to AE. I did have to raid the pick and pull for a flair fitting to match the radiator for the brake line I fabbed up. It is not pictured. Glad I did the mod. You may have to copy and paste the page listed below if it does not show as a link.

What did you do to your 7.3 Today?

It is one of the best mods you can do, it took my about 2-3 hours some 3/8''-1/2'' fittings and about 5ft of 1/2" transmission line. The hardest and longest part is getting the bumper, grill, grill support piece out of the way. Ounce that is out of the way it's a bolt in replacement, I just came back from towing my Keystone Laredo(8,000+lbs) and the temp never went over 152*
