No, I havent located it. I am finding small oil drips comming from under the valvecover gaskets. but I am not sure thats the major leak. Its comming from the back of the engine somewhere. I dunno from top or the bottom. All I know is the valley is dry, and so is the front of the engine. I am thinking its still the oil pan gasket and I cant stop it, cause where its leaking is the "U" in the back, between the block and the torque converter. you know where i am talking about? I cant get the permatex to stick there to seal it, plus its tight between the TC and the pan. Also, I am leaking trans fluid from somewhere in the front of the truck near where the hard lines meet the rubber lines. |

That is a worst case scenario. |

I have heard of that. I was hoping not to have to do it. But I think my trans is slipping anyhow. FCK! when it rains it pours! I may just look for a good rebuilt one near me. I wont have the cash for a while, but its something to look for. I am afraid to change the fluid for fear of slippage afterwards.

Not as bad as I would have imagined. I'm out of ideas really. You have a lot of work to do.
![]() I don't know if it's possible, but I'd start looking for a nice 97-00 short or long block. Build it up in your garage as you have money/time. It's what I'm doing... for completely different reasons. |
