***School me on Valve Bodies***

So I'm one of those type of guys that reads a ton about something before making a choice, so now I'm in the market for a valve body. I've done some searching and found that John Woods,BTS, and Gregg Evans all make a great product. My question or question's are how complex is it too swap one out??? I'm fairly good with a wrench, but the tranny seems alittle scary too me other than changing the fluid. Another question, whom is really the best?? I'm looking for replies on guys that have actually had too upgrade thier valve bodies.

So I'm looking for information

Its relatively easy to swap, just drain the pan, drop the pan, undo the valve body bolts and don't mix them up, change out trans filter while in there, reinstall new one, torque to spec, put pan back on, fill and go. I bought a john woods one, but found out afterwards that bts credits you if you buy his trans down the road, just something to keep in mind if your planning on upgrading later on.

Valve bodies are very simple to swap out

Drop the fluid and pan
remove the 13 or so bolts
and install the new one
iirc its like 45 inch pnds for the bolts

Inside the VB yes. But you won't be getting into that. Its pretty easy. Just as easy as removing the pan then putting it back on.

Sure thing. Its still fresh in my head since I changed out my VB plate to up my shift pressures. The link didn't work for me so just make sure you remove the little filter on the VB before you remove all the bolts. Or you can go to BTS website and download their PDF file.
