That sucks. I'm completely new to Ford and diesels, but reading the forums, I've decided the older 7.3 and 4 x 4 was the way to go. I did get some service history from the seller, however I would have liked the whole history. He told me he serviced it at Ford every 5k miles and from the records I do have, looks like he did. Here's the following specs:
2002 F250 7.3 4 x 4 Crew Cab
Lifted (don't know what kind of kit nor does the seller)
17 Moto Metal Rims with relatively good tires
Everything else all stock with 133k miles
Fifth Wheel Hitch
New batteries with the last year
Exterior is immaculate and paint shows good for its age
The owner said it was used for towing his fifth wheel and boat. I have no reason to doubt him with that amount of low miles for a car this age. KBB is right about 13800 or so in good condition. It has a clean CA title. Motor sounds and runs good, however I haven't done any compression check, oil analysis or anything of that nature. No leaks of any sort and there is no residue and underbody looks very clean. There are no lights on the dash that are on and everything works as it should with the exception of a stuck rear door actuator. Anyway, he is selling for 14k firm. Attached are some pics. My goal was to obtain a 7.3 4 x 4 Crew Cab in relatively stock condition that has been maintained. You think it’s a good deal?
