Plasti dipped mirror cap's, pics

Well my 08-12 mirrors were mismatched, one had a chrome cap and one had the one piece backer shell... All black.
I want to have the least chrome on my truck as possible so I figured I would either paint or plasti dip and the plasti dip will come off if I don't end up happy with the finish!
It actually looks better then I expected, a nice matte finish although the pic is right after a did the last coat so its still has a little shine.

So if any of you are like me and hate the chrome mirror caps, try this stuff! It can be had in 4 colors at Home Depot, black, red, white, clear or yellow?!?

Oh and if you have already used it, how did it hold up? I put on 5-coats, lost count.

I did my mirror caps on my 06 in black, A couple coats and it lasted 8 months. My tires do stick out quite a bit though and mixed with alot of gravel roads I would say it held up awesome. I did my outer grill surround as well to and it looks decent a year later.
