Gauge Recommendations

I've got an 02 7.3L and was going to add the RiffRaff F650 dash for the upfitter application.

Riffraff Diesel: Riffraff Custom Auto Dash Kit

It comes with 2 spots for extra gauges and wanted help deciding which two to buy.

I was thinking Exhaust Gas for one....but what about the other? What's the weakest link I should be monitoring?

Boost. Especially since those trucks don't have a boost gauge stock. 7.3 is pretty strong and reliable shouldn't need to many parameters

I'd say trans temp if you have an automatic. Way more important than boost (unless your running a modified waste gate, aftermarket injectors). Need more info for a better suggestion!

7.3 doesn't have all the PIDs as our 6.0...

It still has alot read from obd I can read them from my snap on ethos so a cts will read the same ones so mechanical gauges still a waste IMHO

I have Dakota Digital gauges and my three side pillar gauges can display seven inputs. HPOP and fuel pressure / boost, temperature (ATF) and exhaust temperature / oil pressure and oil temperature. You can choose alarm set points for each input and can display just a single input so that its shown in large digits. I LOVE them and I've had they about eight years so far with zero issues.

Wait... The 7.3 will display fuel pressure, trans temp, and engine oil pressure? Without needing addition sensors?

I run boost, EGT, ECT, and trans. Honestly, the boost is just for fun and about useless. Trans and EGT are most important. ECT is really useless to me after doing it.
