Power mirror question

Is there a way to know if the power mirrors have the round or square electric plug without having to take the door panel off?

Thanks!

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong... But the 03-07 mirrors have the grey rectangle plug and the 99-02 mirrors have the white round plugs. Not sure on the 08-up mirrors... More info need on what style of mirror your talking about.

I bought "supposedly" 02 tow mirrors off a wrecked truck and they have the gray rectangle plug. But they could be 03 except they don't have the turn signals in them

Seems like that's an 03 mirror plug.

The wires are the same color. Realy easy to cut them and connect the new mirror

These are the ones I'm looking at. Even though the ad says for a wide variety of years, I've soeen some with a rectangular plur and other with the round. I have a 99 F250 Super Duty 7.3.

Yeah same here, the guy said they were 02 mirrors so I didn't think to look at the plug on my truck to make sure they would work because I wasn't aware that they changed the plug on them

Plugs changed in the door with different model years... Not options available for the mirrors. Hope that makes sense.

I picked up a set of 08 style tow mirrors from 1A Auto Parts and they vibrate less than my OEM's. And they sell the plugs / adapters if needed. They're also a site sponsor. I'd encourage you to check them out before you make a choice.
