Wrong motor for truck?

I bought this truck and the title says 2001. I was farting around under the hood and noticed a sticker like this it says 99. Although this is not my picture it is exactly the same. Does my truck have a different motor in it? I guess if so,the guy that sold it to me did not say anything and maybe he did not know either.

Maybe, or could be a replaced valve cover? Or may a complete engine swap.

Go to your VIN number. What is the tenth character? X is 99, Y is 00, 1 is 01.
Title might be wrong.

I see it happen with travel trailers cause someone just "thinks" they know what year it is.

You're a long way from home

I will look at the title and vin plate in the morning. And that would suck if it is a early 99, just flushed coolant to the fleetrite elc

Actually just looked they both have a 1 in the tenth position. So either new vavle cover or a motor swap. No way to tell.
