How would you do it?

I finally got a BD WW for my 7.3 and have been all over the interweb watching videos and such on how to install it. The directions that came with it show using a "T" handled wrench or vise grips to hold the exhaust side from turning while taking loose the intake side. I found videos where guys are just using an air impact gun and just tapping the trigger while not holding the exhaust side and just letting it spin then stop and do it again until the wheels comes loose. Which way is the right way to do this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Kelly

either hold the exhaust side with vice gribs or the such or take the turbo out, if you use the impact you could put fractures in the shaft and greatly shorten the life span of your turbo.

2000 Ford F250 7.3 4x4 158k miles. MODS: Beans Tunes, 4" exhaust, custom twin intake, boost fooler, ported housing w/ Clays 11 blade billet compressor wheel, foil delete, glowshifts 3 in 1 gauge, AIH delete, bellowed uppies
Future mods: banks intercooler, coolingmist, 6.0 trans cooler, BWD blue powder coated valve covers, BWD coated exhaust manifolds.
