7.3 stalls when it rains.

My 2003 Excursion with the 7.3 will stall when motor comes close to idle like when coming to intersection or in parking lot. Also will hesitate for a second when going at highway speed. It only happens when it is wet out. Could this be some sort of ground or connection to pump or injectors?

I would check your CPS wiring it may be frayed and shorting out when it rains

What brand cps are you running? Some brands are known to do this when your wipers are on.

Its on the front of the engine. Its kinda hard to see from the top you gotta get underneath and look at the crankshaft its on the left side near the top. Very common thing to go bad on the 7.3 to the point people carry an extra in the glovebox to change on the side of the road like i had to do the other day

Did the recall and got (assuming) new cps and fixed recall issue with cruise. Put the wipers on intermittent and didn't die. Just need to wait for some rain to see if that fixed it.
