Chip install

How long does it take to install a TS Chip? Lame question I know but I have 4 or 5 hours tonight but I need the truck tomorrow morning. I am a fairly decent gear head. I turned around a water pump install on it in 2.5 hours for example so you can kind of judge ability. Where have you guys mouted the 6 pos knob at? I prefer to keep holes out of the dash.

All you need is a 10mm socket to undo the bolt under the hood that connets all the wring to the computer and then a 7mm socket to take the two screws that hold the PCM in place. Clean the connections on the PCM attach the chip put it back together and you are ready to roll!

Hardest part is getting your arm in there to take out the bolt

Don't forget to keep the key in your pocket!!!! If you fry your PCM it could be a very timely install.

yea i would also un plug the batteries too and make sure that your connections are clean i had some problems with that and also you might want to put some electrical tape over the chip to hold it in the pcm tight i didnt do this right away and i got left stranded lol

Thanks all. About a hour and 20 minutes just like you all said. Holy smoke, the org isn't kidding when they say you need a chip. On the 100 horse setting at 30 mph the thing busted the back tires loose and it started haning sideways for a while. I assume my stock exaust and intake make the 140 setting only for a smoke show? The 100 horse setting is as fast or faster.
