I know its an old thread, but it all i could find with the "wonderful" search on this site. Anyway, i am gonna do this mod today, i just need to know what to do with the wires.

remove the red one from the solenoid then from the heater, then remove the ground wire....after that remove the plug......ALL DONE!!!

I already figured it out by the time you responded. I was thinkin there was more to it than what there was but once i tore into it i realized its pretty simple. Thanks anyway though.
