I work for a P & P Trailer sales in Pasadena Texas. I am very familiar with gooseneck hitches. The one i installed on my own truck was made by Flip Over. There are no rails in the bed. The only thing you see is the ball and two upside down U type bolts that are for the saftey chains. You pull a lever under your driver side rear tire well and you can "flip over" the ball. Its totaly flush inside the bed. B & W is about the same. I reccommend both. And you DONT have to remove the bed. Reese, valley and other X brands dont make a very friendly installation.

This is by far the cheapest price you will find for not only the B&W but any "hideaway" type GN hitch, Curt, and Reese also make a similar set ups, but requires you to cut a big square hole in the bed, and they're more expensive.
I ordered mine from TandR, they are great to deal with, got my hitch within 3 days, and of course this is the complete kit, comes with everything you need to mount it. I installed mine in about 3-4 hours, I took my time.
Don't even what to spend just a little bit more and get the B&W, good deal here, just a thought.

check this one out;
eBay Motors: B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch 99-08 Ford Super Duty (item 140222636906 end time Apr-17-08 07:55:36 PDT)

If you really want to save try what my buddy did, we built a heavy duty GN plate out of scrap metal we found behind the welding shop at work. It goes frame to frame just like the B&W and bolted it into his truck, cost him $20 for a ball and he is done. He can’t turn his ball over though.

The B&W would be nice but if you want to pull a 5th wheel it starts to add up pretty high when you add the adapter for like $500 more. I personally chose to convert my camper to GN although I already have a 5th wheel hitch just because I don’t trust or like the 5th wheel system. All I ever use anymore is the GN ball.

If it were me starting with a fresh truck I’d get the turn over ball hitch and a good Prodigy P-3 brake controller. For around $350 total from ebay.

Well at first glance I was mad because it was lower than what I paid, then I looked about the shipping cost, $55, still a great deal overall. $304 To your door, ten bucks cheaper than I paid.

I was doing a quick eBay search for a cheap old school GN plate and stumbled across that, didn’t even notice the shipping or read about it at all.
