Who knows about GEM modules?

I am swapping my truck to power everything, it was all manual. I have a 2000 parts truck so Im doing it the hard way. I swapped the entire interior harness and dash ( Ddint have to swap the dash but this one is in better shape)

Before doing anything I swapped the fuses panels, and since doing that I have no speedo or signals, everything else seems to work.

Old Gem was a B, new one is a D ( i think)

Is this a programming issue or a physical wiring issue?

I have everything in the drivers side and it all works correctly except the locks but that could be because they aren't connected on the other side yet.

from what I have read the GEM needs to be made specific for the accessories you have
like power door locks/windows ETC and since your swapping everything and the dash I would have expected it to work out

good luck !

oh and most of what I learned was here http://blog.autopartscheaper.com/?p=38

and then I found out mine doesn't have a GEM they changed to individual modules like 4x4 , security , retained power and the actual dash cluster took over a lot of functions

so my research ended LOL

Just because I have a banner that states "Moderator"
does not mean you can't argue with my opinions !
