Gauge installation question

Well I finally hooked up my gauges from Raul today, only about 6 months after I bought them. I got the automete z series and I lost some of the instructions after waiting so long to install. Anywho all of my gauges work except the tranny gauge. I really just winged this one, but it instantly pegs to the hottest setting. The light works perfect, but could my ground and power be wrong? For the sender I just ran a piece of 16 GA wire to the tranny temp sensor to the gauge could that be my problem? Need some help guys thanks!

Ya real gauges are so much better than digital anyways, I am glad I made the switch. LOL Maintain the only reason I really wanted to write anything in this is because of the caption on your sig. Guess I need to get me one of them there zooodad mods!
