02 7.3 with pmrs

Just visually checked and I'm not as lucky as I wanted to be. I got pmrs. I am now wandering what mods are the best for it. I don't really need anything crazy. It is a crew cab 4x4 just put 4 inches under it with 35s. I have a super chip on it right now but I want more. Any help would be great. Possibly looking at a php hydra chip

There's nothing wrong with PMRs, All '02's have them. They have never been an issue that I'm aware of...

Now, if you intend to put 5K in making Horsepower (Injectors/HPOP/Turbo) then, yes, they would be one of the things I would change. If you just want to "perk-up" things (exhaust/Intake/ & tuning) you shouldn't have a problem.

I think the "rule of thumb" that's thrown around is that the PMRs have no trouble until you exceed 400hp (not sure who came-up with that )

I have an '02 with only free-flowing In/Out (AIS + 4" MBRP) the WW and a bunch of mods that are more about running well than making power. With the PHP 80hp Daily Driver Tune it's plenty fun to drive and a Vast improvement over stock. Not sure what the SS's would do over that, it sure is a Lot of money to spend for it though...
