rear wheels binding

Hi, when I pulled out of my driveway I touched the brakes and my truck stopped like I hit a wall. I then needed to pull out of a parking spot and my truck would allow me to shift into reverse (6 sp manual) but felt like I was pushing against a wall. Out of gear it doesn't move backwards much. Could this be brakes????Rolls fine forward... HELP!

Check to make sure the brake calipers arent loose or sticking. I had this problem and found that my caliper slides were stuck and then I also found that the bolt that bolts the caliper mounting bracket to the knuckle had backed its way out, and caused the caliper to hit the wheels and bind up. I would also check to make sure your e-brake is not depressed or the cable is not tight causing the brakes to constanly be on.
