I did my first Blackstone report at 100K, I bought it with just over 80K on it a few years back.
It only gets used for towing basically. Tows my toyhauler, about 10K loaded, and my boat, about 3k. I use Amsoil Synthetic 15/40 it has about 4k on it since the last oil change.
The only thing out of range is Iron, but im thinking it may be that it was just last year I started towing the toyhauler so the engine is finally being used for what it was built for and that's to tow! Its always been just a driver not a hauler its short life so far.
I usually change the oil once a year in June since I only do but less than 5k on it. This year might be more now with the toyhauler and starting in September it will be used at least once a month for towing that.
What everyone's opinion on the report?
The oil did shear out of grade a bit, 12.27 is a heavy 30 weight, most 40 wts are in the 12.5-16 range. But with a high flash point and little fuel in the sample that is nothing to concern yourself about.
Other than that it looks fine, do you really need to spend the big bucks on Amsoil with such little use?
