Please explain

I am new to the diesel world and trying to read as much as I can before moving forward with modifications. Some areas I'm unclear on are as follows.

T-stat - I'm going to do a flush and replace some parts and hoses. What temp t-stat should I buy?
Coolant - When I do the flush what ELC should I use, CAT?
Fuel - Should I get an FRX and HRX and from who? What is this spring they talk about installing?

Thanks for your input,

t-stat = oem/motorcraft, think its a 195*

coolant = any elc will work great. Make sure though, you dont have an e99 truck

fuel = hpx is a loop for oil, at the heads. Great item i think. The FRx is also another great item to have. Relieves the "deadheaded" system, that came factory with truck. Run the gold spring, gives the best/psi performance.
