New 99.5-03 7.3L Up-Pipes Tips N Tricks

Hey Everyone,

I am considering the install of the 7.3L International Up-Pipes

Does anyone ever wrap the pipes with the 2" Heat Tape?

I wrapped my entire exhaust system with the 2" Tape including the round Magnaflow muffler and it removed the loud drone sound and made the interior
very quiet. I have the 7.3L Van 2000 E350 and the heat tape wrap was one of my fav mods. If you get headache's from the drone sound, the heat tape wrap will fix it quick.

Now I am thinking about the Up Pipes, I just wanted to know how many guys do wrap the pipes?

This is the nicest engine I have ever owned, I'm running the T6 oil and full synth, just an amazing rig.

Any other things to consider while doing this?

And also, the Pipes look much easier to do on the vans because the inside engine cover allows you to reach all the upper bolts with no problems.

Thanks for any help

vN 350SD - Please forgive the topic swerve - but exactly what is the 2" heat tape you wrapped your exhaust system with that got rid of the drone sound? Thanks.
