Larger hoses = better MPG?
Has anyone heard of putting on larger hoses for the upper radiator hose and the intake hoses that go to the turbo(s) to get better gas mileage?

Doubt the radiator hose would do anything. A higher temp helps FE, so increasing cooling wouldn't do that. Intake hoses being larger could help with air volume thus increasing FE. I'm sure it wouldn't be much.

Never heard that.
You can replace the upper radiator hose with NAPA part #9066 radiator hose that will go around your serpentine belt. It's not for fuel milage, just makes it so if you lose your belt, it won't take that hose out with it, and you can change your belt w/o losing any coolant. It's not any bigger either(just longer ).later |
