Oil Question
My oil filter wasn't tight enough so I lost some oil. Right now it has the Motorcraft 10w-30 Powerstroke CJ-4, but when I went to the dealership here the other day they only had CI-4 left. Is it ok to dump a little in there?

Ive heard that the CJ-4 and the CI-4 are different, that you don't want to use CI-4 with ULSD. Don't ask me why

I would dump the CJ4 and fill it with CI4 just because the additive package is so much better. The CJ4's are more for new trucks with Particulate traps. Napa still has Rotella T CI4+ full synth and walmart sells chevron Delo CI4+ Dino. Those oils are both great.

Well it got 16 qrts of the CJ-4, but can I put a little dab to top the oil off with CI-4?
