rough idle and run. po500 & 720

Good day
I have a 2001 7.3 with 160k on it. Two weeks ago while driving around 35mph it started to loose power, shutter and generaly run very rough. I was low on fuel but not to the point of running out but imediatly pulled in and fulled up. it took a few times to start and then ran rough for a mile and started to clear up and 5miles later back to norm and ran fine for another 500.
yesterday started the smme events only a little rougher as if missing.coming to a stop the idle was very rough and it died not starting. the OD light was flashing and i pulled one code PO500 I examined the oss disconecting it,pulling it out and all looked good. replaced (with same sensor) and the same would not start many attempts made as it tried to start and finally did still very rough. letting it idle for some time and then driving it for about a 1/4 mile still very rough running and idle. after this i looked at the codes and PO720 is also on there. I cleared codes started and ran for some time at idle still running rough and not throwing any more codes.
I am in a pinch for coin and just dont want to start replacing sensors that may not be bad. could the OSS be causing this or is there another possible cause? sorry for the long story but wanted to paint a picture for you.
Thank you
