jake brake?????????

Anyone ever attempt to look into setting up a Jake brake in there truck? I am not talking about an exhaust break. I am reffering to an actual tranmission or motor Jake brake?

An actual Jake brake would be nearly impossible to do without spending thousands basically redesigning your engine

Yea i mean it COULD be done, but the cost of R+D involved would outweigh the benefits of a Jake brake.

There isn't enough room, the brake booster and heater box would be in the way for a true jake brake.

Not to mention the extra valve needed on the head

A Jacobs engine brake sounds good on an inline 6. It would probably sound like a cat puking on a V8. Kind of like an 8V detroit sounds trying to take off, but in reverse.
