Keyless Entry Programming

I just bought some key fobs and I am trying to program them to my truck (02 F250 CCSB). I tried doing the off/on 8x stopping in the on position, but it hasn't worked.

Is there another way?

Thanks

If the locks dont go down and up after the 8th time then you dont have Keyless entry installed, you would have to get a new GEM module

I thought all SD's had it except the xl? ...but yes it might be a bad GEM module too.

No its just a factory feature back in the day, my dads 02 xlt doesnt have it but my 00 xlt did so its just a matter if it was picked as an option. As for the GEM module from what i read thats what needs to be switched out to get keyless entry. Not that his is bad but you need one that has it programed in

Theres no sensor on the dash for keyless, thats your sunload sensor. Thats for automatic headlamps and something else i cant recall. But theres nothing tell tale that you have it besides doing the key program thing or tearing into your dash to see if you have a keyless entry code on the GEM

Not in the mood to really tear the dash about then guess n check with GEM to find a keyless one.
