Diesel World 7.3 buildup

Is anyone watching this build? This months issue really caught my eye due to the fact they installed a BTS valve body on a stock 300k trans. That was one of my next upgrades to my trans with 180k hoping it will fix the inconsistent shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I noticed in the swap that they didn't mention draining the TC though. I haven't looked yet but do our stock TCs have a drain plug? They put Shaffers in the pan with a new filter but didn't mention the TC.
