Also how do you accelerate? How long after you turn your truck on do you wait till you drive? How many street lights do you normally go thru? I'm sure you know all this but all these factors matter and then there is all the mechanical factors like your wheel bearings and trans slipage and the list goes on.

I accelerate nice and smooth. I usually wait from 30 seconds to a minute before i drive. I go through 4 street lights to get to work. tranny is 3 months old. wheel bearings are quiet.

To me thats not really an issue if its city driving. If you were 12-14 I would really be concerned. Once the fuel is switched over to summerblend see if you gain any mileage.

thanks rednek. I am open to ANY suggestion as i am not sure if what im seeing is normal. my RPM's at 60 are inbetween 1500 and 2000 i know that at 75 im right at 2000. during both tanks the truck was empty 95% of the time, when it wasnt... it was pulling an enclosed trailer but only for about 20 miles per tank. and it was ALL freeway and it was only 1 time per tank.
I will check and possibly change my air and fuel filters as they have not been changed for about 5 to 10,000 miles.

235/85/16 for mileage, I picked up about 1.5/2mpg after switching from 285's to 235's.
