O rings and exhaust housing installs ?

I have an oil leak and I can not seem to figure out where the heck it’s coming from! So I did some reading and read that turbo o rings and the HPOP line o rings leak a lot. So I bought both and will be replacing them at the same time. I found a good write up on how to do the turbo o rings. (thanks maintain!)

So now I need some info on installing the HPOP line o rings and also while I have the turbo out I want to install a bigger exhaust housing and maybe even a Wicked wheel.

Anyone know of a write up on the HPOP o rings and how to install an exhaust housing on the stock turbo?

O an which exhaust housing should I get? Wastegated? Non wastegated? What size?

I found a write up on the HPOP o rings, well the ones on the pump. How often do the other sides of the hoses leak (the ones going to the oil rails?)

Usually its from the orings on the pump those are known to cause problems. Are you looking for a writup to remove the turbo and add a exhaust housing or just the compressor side?

Nope its pretty self explanatory. You will remove the compressor section then to remove the center section from the exhaust side you will need a deep well 12 point.

Thanks for the link.

Did you use the wastegated or non wastegated housing on your setup?

I went with the wastegate. I would keep the wastegate if your keeping the stock inerds. Look at getting a turbomaster actuator

It's easy man... just takes a ton of turns. You can take the line off at the Fuel Pressure Regulator to get more clearance but MAN be careful when putting it back on! I broke mine Friday night.

Just take your time and do all 3 while you're in there.

The ones at the heads normally do not leak... but they are the same thing... fitting with an O ring.

Did you see my writeup for removing the turbo? If so it's pretty simple... I've also got video's if you need them on that.

Make sure you have the CORRECT SIZE 12 POINT socket for the exhaust side. 3/8's drive or bigger is best to use and a small cheater bar helps. Make sure you put good, even pressure on them otherwise you can strip them. The exhaust housing is a bolt off, bolt on deal, and the wicked wheel I have a video of too.

Looks like you're set!
