2003 F250 XLT Radio and Windows work intermittently

Sometimes they work fine for hours, other times they won't work for the first 5-10 mins of drive time, sometimes they only work for the first 10-20 mins of drive time, sometimes they work for 5 then off for 5 then on for 5...it's driving me crazy!
I heard GEM could do it from a leaky windshield...I don't think my windshield is leaking, but maybe. My truck is an '03 so does it even have the GEM or something else? Can I buy one and swap it out or does the dealer have to? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help

another bump, I have the same issue just not as bad, mine may do it 4 times in a day then work great for a month,I am thinking it has to do with humidity..??
You are correct though 03 does not have a GEM, they have a VSM located behind the radio on the fire wall..

mine has done it randomly since i've owned the truck (4 years now) I find if I smack my dash board just above my radio head unit, they come right back on. Mine seems to only not work when I first start my truck up. it's never just "gone out" in the middle of driving

I have had my truck for 8 years and it started doing the same thing about 3 or 4 years ago, and my windshield did leak when I first bought it. Had the windshield replaced 3 times since and still does it. Sometimes I can smack the dash it works. I hope someone can figure this one out cause it drives me crazy.
