sounds good, im gonna take it for a drive here in a bit and check the hose and see if its pressurized and go from there. If im still having problems I will give Bob a shout. Is it very common to get a faulty thermostat?

I would say the new stat is stuck open because it should not take that long to warm up. If I let mine idle for 5 min and take off down the highway it is warm in less than 5 miles even in sub zero temps.

It's common for anything man-made to be faulty.

To be honest, I've heard nothing but good things about Bob's setups. This isn't like buying a POS autozone or Robertshaw that you know will fail. Keep us posted.

just got back. The truck will not warmup unless you are on the highway, and even then it fights to get to temp. I let it warm up for 5 mins or so and did some stop and go driving for 20 minutes or so and it never warmed up, I had to keep the heat off or it would immediately drop right back down. The upper radiator hose does have pressure. I dont know how much but the hose has a fair amount of pressure in it when its warm, none when cold. Also as soon as you stop and the heater is on the temp goes down very quickly,at a stoplight the guage will go down. It used to take awhile for the guage to go down. Hope this helps
