While i was looking for a new wheel, the guy at our local shop said a body shop should be able to send them out and have it fixed (he didnt see the broken wheel but he said theyll weld it up and rechrome them). Has anyone heard of this, especially with that much of a chunk of the wheel missing?

Thats quite a bit of welding to be done... I've seen them fix cracks and tears but never weld a piece back in, seems risky!
