Spray some WD-40 or PB blaster and let it sit over night.

Grab a four year old and tell him "leave this alone. Do not take it off!" come back in 15 minutes and I bet he'll have it off and in his hands.

Ya it's a bit of a bear.
Use a super long flat head screw driver, see of you can catch the lip where the break is with it. Give er a couple taps with a hammer and she'll pop off.

Good luck

I.have heard people say it's an absolute beast to get off. When I pulled my turbo to rebuild it, it came off fairly easy after a soak in pb blaster and a large screwdriver.

It can be a nightmare to get off sometimes. The last time I pulled mine I ended up getting one of the three sections loose but the other two wouldn't budge. So I hooked a ratchet strap to the clamp, got it as tight as I could and just kept hitting the clamp till if finally let go.

Make sure they use anti-seize on the new clamp so it will come off easy if you need to take it off again.
