Tensioner Pulley.

I have to remove the serpentine belt on my 97. How do I loosen the tensioner pulley. Does it pry up or do I loosen a bolt etc? TIA

You should be able to release the tension by using a breakbar. I believe a 1/2 inch drive breakerbar will be needed. It only moves one way.

Yep bigcountry is right, you put a socket on it or the breaker bar goes into the slot, I can't remember.
