2003 7.3 odo dont work !!

looking at a 2003 7.3 the odo dont work but gauges do !!
if i replace whole cluster does the ecm/pcm remember the miles or does the actual cluster ??

2003 f250 cc sb
6.0 torgshift 5sp

4 in. straight pipe
arp headstuds
knn replacement filter
sct with costome tunes

I could be wrong, but I believe the mileage is on the ECM

This is probably a dumb question, but did you check that the dimmer is up all the way? If the dimmer switch is down the odometer will not be visible at all
