Power mirror trouble shooting

I have a late 99 f250 and the power mirrors have stopped working. I checked the fuse, #4 in the passenger compartment and it's just fine. Popped off the switch panel on the door and all connections look and feel good. I'm gonna check the ground wire for the switch next but in the meantime does anyone have anything else that they would suggest looking for or checking?

Take the adjusting switch apart and clean the contacts. All will work again.

Took the switch all apart and cleaned all the contacts, still not working.

On another note, the 7.3's did not have power extending mirrors, correct?
Mine are stuck in the fully out position and refuse to go in by hand.

Mine didn't work when I bought my truck last September. Replaced the switch (only like $20) and worked fine!

Know if there is a way to bypass the switch to see if it is the problem?

The mirrors were working intermittently when I bought the truck in November but they have not been working since December.

good luck man, the phantom electrical issues in my truck have finally caused me to quit caring about interior lights and other stuff like that.

My mirrors are kinda sticky, but the switch is my problem there too. I think you're on the right track by tracing the ground wire, if it's not the switch most electrical issues on fords are from bad grounds.

Do continuity checks on the wires with a multimeter.

Honestly, I did no testing. A buddy of mine with an 03 7.3 had the same problem and he changed the switch and it worked so I did the same. I may have just got lucky.
