Power steering issue

Well my pressure line blew out of my power steering pump yesterday and I replaced it. I topped off my power steering with Mercon 5 transmission fluid and its still whining when I turn the wheel. Have I missed something or did I damage my power steering pump? How long does it take for the transmission fluid to cycle thru the hydroboost system?

its pretty slow.
when i flushed mine it took a couple minutes to get all the old fluid out.
so you might not have it full.

When I replaced my pump I flushed it the same way I have any other ford, it worked well.

Jack up the front end
Place on jakstands
Start the engine
Remove cap on power steering reservoir
Steer lock to lock slowly over and over (best to have a buddy do it so you can watch for Bubbles and add fluid as needed)
When the pump gets quiet and stops putting out bubbles, you're done
