Tire size for 4" lift?

I broke a rear spring on my 350 the other day and ordered a new one from ford to the tune of about $350. Then I just find out that a friend of mine is selling a 4" lift from an 04 with all shocks an everything else I need for $500. I'm thinking about telling ford to shove it, and put the lift on. What size tires will fit with that lift?

I also scored a brand new set of 285 tires for less than $400 that are sitting in the shed until my current tires are wore out. How dumb will they look until I can get a decent set of bigger tires?

Depends on ur rim size? I have 35s on my 08 with a 2 inch lift and 20 inch wheels, and I also have 35s on my 97 with a 6inch lift on 18 in wheels. Both look like they belong. Imo it comes down to rim size

The 285's will look a little odd, but not too too bad at least until they get low on tread
Most people run a 35 on a 4" lift.
37's are possible, but require some trimming/shimming

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

Ok that's what I was looking for. My uncle has 6" lift and 37's on his excursion and there seemed to be plenty of room.
