Helped father in law put one in today to work with exhaust brake. It didn't work as expected so we are checking the wiring tomorrow during the daylight.

keeps the t/c locked manually when your driving around the foothills or going up steep grades at 25mph when the t/c isnt locked. when it isnt locked its generating heat, heat kills automatic transmissions. when you're towing and going up steep grades slowly, its gonna heat up exponentially, frying your trans eventually.
all you do is tap into the t/c wire and put a switch with a ground wire and another wire to the tap. don't cut the wire unless you plan on making a guzzle type t/c lockup mod. |

if you have it locked and stop isnt it gonna stall, like not pushing the clutch in?

Yes it will.

So you can lock the t/c out of OD. I thought you had to be in 4th(at least 40mph) for it to lock?
