I built my own in take because of the price. One thing that sticks in my mind is the intake air sensor. Most of the aftermarket systems have no provision for reinstalling it. This sensor reading the air intake temp sounds to me like you would want it. My other point on the aftermarket systems that is not addressed is the ability to draw or ram cold air into the engine. I don't remember the ratio of air temp to HP but this is important in building HP. Another point is pressure. If you check out how hard your engine sucks to get its air. A true ramair system will help the turbo out. Even if you have a larger turbo or a wicked wheel. Free HP, fits my budget.

Talk to SRDIESELSCOTT on here, he's got a shop down south of me and he sells AFE intakes. As soon as I have the extra money i'm going to buy my Stage II from him.
On the guage thing, I occaisionally turn the knob on my chip up to the 140 setting and blow some smoke. I'm still undecided on guages so I don't have them yet. But I don't go wide open for much more than a second or so. As long as you're not pedal to the floor for long periods of time, like back to back long hard accelerating or a whole quarter mile or something you don't have to be such a sissy. A small short burst here or there every now and then isn't going to immediately turn anything solid to liquid. But running the urine out of it is of course going to increase the chances. Be cautious as I am, not scared like a little baby!
