gas isnt much better

yeah but the way gas is going with all the new additives and more ethenol its no better than deisel. i have a 4 cylinder car and im only getting 12 mpg on a good day where as a couple months ago i was getting 24. most diesels are getting atleast 16 and i know quite a few guys getting 20-22. yeah its more exspensive but its worth it.

12 mpg? I can't figure that out. I'm only getting 15 mpg city and 17-18 highway at best. The new ulsd is terrible. Even if I bought a tuner and a intake it might only bump me up to 16 city and maybe 20 highway, from what I've been told. This is a thread I started to figure out the same thing you are looking for maybe it will help. Poor fuel mileage, can't afford to run the truck.
