6.0 headlights in a 7.3?

I found a thread where a guy cut down a 2005 grille and put it in his 7.3. I' ve been wondering for a long time now how different the 6.0 hedlights are from the 7.3 ones because those 6.0 lights are *****in. Maybe the the lines form the hood or fenders are different on the trucks? I would like to know if any one has tried this or knows why it will or won't work thanks Tom

the hood and fenders are the same from 99 to 07 , the front ends are diiferent ,but an be made to fit with a little work

Are you talking about the 03.5-04 6.0's or the 05-07 6.0's?

05-07 6.0's those lights are sick.

I would think you could cut the 99-04 header panel from the rear, to fit the newer style lights without the grille and bumper etc. If it's just the lights your after, may be worth looking into. There is a thread here somewhere about it.

I wanna use the newer grille too, im gonna build a tube bumper so bumper alignment doesn't matter to me.

You can do it no problem. Tons of guys have done it. All you have to do is Dremel out the header panel and you win. IIRC strokin_7.3 on FTE has the best writeup I have ever seen.

I've looked on dfuser and they claim they have the 07 headlights that fit the 99-04 trucks. I don't know if it means without modification or if you still have to hack up the header panel
